Betsey (Green) Hadley was born in July 1785 in Weare, NH, the daughter of Abraham and Abigail (Perkins) Green. She married Wells Hadley May 27, 1804 in Weare. She died April 26, 1865 in Hartland, VT. (Research by Brad Hadley using VT Vital Records)
Her gravestone in Weed Cemetery is broken just below the 79 yr line. For many years it lay on the ground. In 2003 it was repaired with a metal support. Some time before October 2008, the metal support was replaced by aluminum. The stone was cleaned with D2 in October 2008 with good results. Update 2012: except for a little green mold, both Betsey and Wells Hadley's stones are clean of any growth.
