Hannah A. (Gallup) Hadley was born 29 November 1820 in Hartland, VT, the daughter of Frederick T. and Martha B. (Gallup) Gallup. She married Jerry Green Hadley 1 November 1842. They had 9 children. She died 22 Nov 1907 at the home of her son Frederick J. J. Hadley. She died of "senility and chronic hephrites (sic).
Her will states that she intentionally excluded her daughter, Alma Bowers, "because I feel that she has not treated me as a mother deserves from a child". It referrs to Alma and her husband making her pay board after she (Hannah) "furnished much material and assistance about work". Ref: Hartford (VT) Probate District, volume 64, page 607: will dated January 11, 1904, three years before her death.
