How sacred the graves where soldiers laid
How sacred the graves where soldiers laid
We will pause where're it is found
And scatter sweet buds neath the willowy shade
To bloom on the thrice honored ground
Abd we pray that when life with its sorrows is o'er
We shall meet our brave soldier on the heavenly shore
This stone is located in the Plains Cemetery.
